Three prime-time contests, including a Thanksgiving night game against Arizona, highlight the Eagles' 2008 home slate at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles kick off the regular season at home for the first time since 2004 when they host the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, Sept. 7. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. The Eagles last hosted the Rams on opening day in 2001. Two weeks later, the Eagles welcome Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers to town for a nationally-televised 4:15 p.m. game.

The home schedule also features a Sunday night game against Eli Manning and the Super Bowl champion Giants in an NFC East battle on Nov. 9 (8:15 p.m. kickoff) , as well as a Monday night contest versus what figures to be a playoff-caliber Browns team on Dec. 15 (8:30 p.m. kickoff).

Thanksgiving football is on tap for the Eagles as they host the Cardinals on Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. The game will mark the Eagles first appearance on Thanksgiving Day since Nov. 23, 1989, when they shut out the Cowboys, 27-0, in Dallas. Overall, the Eagles have a 3-1 record on Thanksgiving, including a 12-0 shutout at Detroit on Nov. 28, 1968. The Eagles last hosted a Thanksgiving Day game in 1940, when they were shut out, 7-0, by Pittsburgh at Shibe Park. One year earlier, the Eagles defeated the Steelers, 17-14, at Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia closes out the regular season campaign at home for the fifth straight year, as the Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 28. Kickoff for that contest is set for 1 p.m., but the game time is subject to change due to the NFL's flex scheduling.

EAGLES KICK OFF PRESEASON AUG. 14 VS. PANTHERS

The 2008 Eagles season begins with a pair of preseason contests at Lincoln Financial Field in August.

Philadelphia's four-game slate is highlighted by a nationally-televised home contest vs. Carolina on FOX on Thursday, Aug. 14, at 8 p.m. The Eagles-Panthers game is part of the second week of the NFL exhibition season and marks the second straight preseason in which the Panthers will visit Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles won last summer's meeting, 27-10.

After a trip to New England, the Eagles return home on Thursday, Aug. 28 to close out the preseason against the New York Jets. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. The Eagles and New York Jets have met 23 times in the preseason over the last 23 years (they played twice in 1992 and did not face each other in 2000).
