December 18, 2012

Only five weeks after their first meeting of the season, the Redskins and Eagles get back together, this time in Philadelphia for the final 2012 regular season game at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles may not be in playoff contention, but the road to the playoffs goes through the Eagles. The Redskins have won five straight games to take control of their own destiny in the NFC East. If the Redskins win their final two games, they will capture the division crown. The Eagles play the Redskins and close out their season on the road against the Giants, who are tied with both the Redskins and the Cowboys for the division lead.

These are the games that require no hype. There will undoubtedly be no lack of effort on the field. While the Eagles have had the Redskins number of late (having won five of the last seven meetings), the Redskins beat the Eagles in Nick Foles' first NFL start in their first meeting. Foles has come a long way since his first start and wants to put together a strong showing to end the season on a high note.
